I encountered Interactive Arts on my recent visit to the affordable art show at the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings. I'd already seen a number of works that I liked before reaching their display.

As soon as I saw it, I fell irresistibly for "Tu tu" painted by Myra Mitchell. I had a vivid picture in my mind of the girl who wore and practiced in that tutu and ballet shoes. Fleur and Myra were there and responded to my "love at first site" reaction. A cynic might say "of course they did", but I am happy to believe that they were both delighted that "Tu tu" had such an effect on me.

I bought the picture and love it. I talk to it every time I pass.

The team at Interactive Arts were responsive and a delight to deal with. They continue to send news on current and upcoming events.

I fully recommend them to anyone.

It is easy to walk past an artist in residence. On this occasion I walked in the focus, energy, and artistic diversity in the room captured my imagination.

I was particularly taken with the focus points and the suggestive nature of colours in relationship with the shapes and features of the work on display. In almost every setting my eye was drawn to a single point before drifting onto a more overall perspective.

I am one of Fleur Allen’s active members of her arts management business ‘Interactive Arts’. She has assisted me in securing exhibition space in various venues so that my artwork may be exposed to a variety of people and different areas of Perth and outside the city. She has taken full responsibility in the transporting, hanging and invitations for each show. This is a wonderful service for a sole artist. Time is not taken away from painting which is all I wish to do.

Fleur has a flair for designing the exhibitions. I have been in a number of art exhibitions and also hung my solos so I have experienced the problems and joys of hanging art. It is a task she seems to enjoy and certainly does this very professionally with good results.

Fleur is also a good communicator, is a good listener and very approachable. A good laugh never goes astray! She has a determination to “educate” the public about contemporary art, a much needed asset in our world of artists.
